EVENTS & ACTIVITIES 2011
White Hill Annual Meeting:
Please mark your calendars to attend the White Hill Square Homeowners Association annual meeting, 7pm Wednesday November 9th, Hopewell Jr High School. This is your chance to voice any concerns with the neighborhood, rules/policies, or events.
BLOCK REPS
Block representatives are needed for 14 streets! Back in the 90s there was one to two Block Reps for each street in White Hill neighborhood. Their responsibilities were to welcome new neighbors, give them a copy of the by-laws of the Home Owner’s Association, inform them of our website and other electronic media, and even arrange small events for children & adults. This was a great way to get to know your neighbors, develop friendships, and helps the board members out quite a bit. If you are interested in becoming a block rep on your street, please contact Martha Ostendarp at Martha@whshoa.org
HOME SECURITY
We know you hear this every year, but since it is important, it is worth repeating. Please remember to lock your windows and doors at night and whenever you leave the house since minor thefts have been on the rise lately. Also please keep your cars locked on the street or driveway and keep valuables out of site. If you do see something unusual, please contact the West Chester Police (513) 777-2231
NEW OHIO LAWS: ORC 5312
Ohio Planned Community Laws have been revised & updated in 2010 that affect Home owner’s Association. If you would like to read in its entirety, please visit: http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/5312 One of the changes, allows the board of directors to enforce fines for violations of the by-laws that everyone has signed and agreed to upon purchasing a home in the White Hill neighborhood. If there is a violation of the by-laws (most commonly: stored vehicles/RV/Boat or yard signs) We will issue a warning letter stating the violation and date to have it removed. If it has not been resolved by the date specified, the board will be issuing a $ 50 fine per week. Failure to pay the fine(s) can result in monthly late fees, lien filed on the house, and all legal costs. These measures are a last resort for the board, so that everyone is in compliance with the by-laws agreed to by all upon purchasing a home in the White Hill Neighborhood.
